The Annual European Harley Davidson Owners' Rally takes place in Jurmala 25-28 June 2009

Юрмальская дума концептуально поддержала организацию 18-го ежегодного слета Harley Davidson Europe в Юрмале этим летом.

Harley Owners Group (HOG) — самая крупная в мире организация владельцев мотоциклов Harley Davidson, собравшая под своим крылом 1,2 миллиона байкеров, основана в 1983 году. Ежегодно проходит европейское HOG-ралли, когда на известных курортах собираются участники клуба на своих супермотоциклах. Так, в прошлом году мотоциклисты встречались на итальянском курорте на берегу озера Гарда.
Праздник планируется на 25- 28 июня — участвовать в нем будет порядка 15 000 членов клуба. В ходе слета пройдет демонстрация новых моделей мотоциклов, одежды и аксессуаров для мотоциклистов. А также концерт, в программе которого наверняка не будет произведений Штрауса и Мендельсона.

The 18th European H.O.G. Rally promises to be an event with a difference – get ready to party in this little-explored corner of Europe! The 2009 European H.O.G. Rally will be a real adventure – held in the fantastic beach resort town of Jurmala, Latvia, this little-explored corner of Europe has some of the most exciting attractions you will ever have the excuse to visit. From the old-world cosmopolitan charms of Riga to the fascinating regions of Estonia (Tallinn is a three-hour ride), Lithuania and Russia, the road to Latvia promises to be an adventure of a lifetime! Jurmala is a purpose-built charming resort town on 20km of beautiful white sandy beach within easy reach of the wonderful old city of Riga.
